Craniofacial (cranio=head/skull; facial=face) conditions vary considerably in type and level of severity.

A craniofacial condition may be part of a craniofacial syndrome or may occur separately from a syndrome. (A syndrome is defined as a group of symptoms that occur together and characterize a particular abnormality.) A condition is defined as a state of physical fitness, disease or ailment.
